Movie Description

Baseball's all-time hits leader, Pete Rose, is the subject of the 2010 documentary, 4192: The Crowning of the Hit King. The film focuses strictly on Rose's accomplishments on the field, making no mention of various controversies that dogged Rose later on.

4192 begins with Rose's first major-league at bat (1963), which ironically was a base on balls. We follow his 24-year career through film clips and interviews with teammates Tony Perez and Mike Schmidt, as well as with longtime Cincinnati Reds play-by-play announcer Marty Brennaman. The climax of the film is September 11, 1985, when Rose singled off of San Diego's Eric Show to break Ty Cobb's all-time hits record.

Rose also holds all-time records for most games played, most at bats, most singles, most seasons with 200+ hits, and perhaps the most important record, he holds the record for playing in the most winning games.
