A quest to find and surf the most dangerous and challenging waves in the world is the focus of the 1998 film, In God's Hands. This ultra-realistic feature is almost documentary-like with its cinematography and "in the pipe" realism.
One of the surfing universe's favorites, In God's Hands features so-so acting, a flimsy storyline and Freshman Film 101 "feel," about it, but the edge-of-the-seat action makes it worth a sitting.
In God's Hands is cast by real surfers, some of them living legends. They are filmed as they travel from exotic locale to even more exotic locale (Madagascar, Bali, Mexico, Hawaii) in search of that elusive "perfect wave."
Directed and co-written by Zalman King, In God's Hands is a non-stop aquatic extravaganza for almost the entire 92 minutes.
