The third installment of the 1989 box-office hit Major League, is 1998's Major League: Back to the Minors. Only four characters (Corbin Bernsen, Dennis Haysbert, Bob Uecker, Steve Yeager) appear in the original and the two sequels.
Scott Bakula stars as a washed-up former minor-leaguer who's hired by team owner Bernsen to manage his Triple A minor league South Carolina Buzz. As with the first two films in the series, the players Bakula is put in charge of comprise a motley crew. A confrontation between Bakula and the manager of the club's parent team, the Minnesota Twins, leads to a challenge game between the two.
Other cast members include Ted McGinley, Jensen Daggett, James Slice and Takaaki Ishibashi.
