Movie Description

The North Shore of Oahu is the title and focus of the 1987 film starring Matt Adler, Nia Peeples and Gregory Harrison. North Shore follows Adler from his Arizona wave-surfing tank success to Oahu to see how he competes in the "real" surf.

Upon arriving, Adler discovers his best-laid plans regarding housing and accommodations to be less than promised, and then, to add insult to injury, his surfing equipment is stolen. Fortunately, Rick (Adler) meets up with Chandler (Harrison), a "guru" of the local surfing scene, who takes him under his wing and schools him in the ways of the North Shore.

Nia Peeples is exceptionally alluring as the love interest, and the scenes of surfers taking on the famed "Banzai Pipeline" are realistic and thrilling.

North Shore features several professional surfers in the cast, adding a touch of authenticity to the production.
