Movie Description

Win Win, a 2011 sports-comedy starring Paul Giamatti, Amy Ryan and Burt Young, tells the entertaining story of a part-time high school wrestling coach (Giamatti) and his efforts to successfully juggle several situations in his life, including his "day job" as an attorney, maintaining his homelife, and somehow finding a way to re-energize his New Providence High wrestling team, which is mired in a horrific slump.

The solution to the latter issue apparently appears in the form of teenager Kyle Timmons, an elite athlete, but just when things begin looking up, the unexpected appearance of Timmons' mother, just released from rehab, throws a monkeywrench into the proceedings.

Director Thomas McCarthy, whose independent films (The Station Agent, The Visitor) have received critical acclaim, appears to have another well-received product in Win Win. McCarthy is a real-life alumnus of New Providence High School.
