Movie Description

United is the inspiring true story of the legendary Manchester United's Busby Babes, the youngest squad ever to win soccer's European Cup. The story became even more unforgettable when 8 members of the team was killed in a 1958 plane crash. The screenplay was written by Chris Chibnall, who conducted extensive interviews with surviving team members, coaches and followers. Noted British TV producer James Strong is the driving force behind United, which originally was a made-for-TV production, but critical acclaim and public clamor delivered it to the big screen.

Veteran British football enthusiasts will easily recognize the key characters such as Matt Busby and Bobby Charlton, since they have long been anointed amongst English football royalty.

United is about football, but the true story involves the always ultra-appealing aspect of the human will's ultimate triumph over overwhelming adversity.
