Movie Description

For the first time since the splendid Gran Torino in 2008, Hollywood legend and tough guy Clint Eastwood returns to the screen in Trouble With the Curve, a sports drama about an aging baseball scout who reconnects with his daughter during his "farewell tour."

Gus Lobel (Eastwood) is a roving scout for the Atlanta Braves, but questions arise as to his continued viability to the organization. The club's GM, Pete Klein (John Goodman), arranges for Gus to try and prove his worth by assigning him to scout a hot-shot pitching phenom. The catch? Klein insists that Lobel's daughter Mickey (Amy Adams) accompany him, a proposition that Gus objects to.

The father and daughter, after some initial friction, discover they have quite a bit in common. Mickey discovers that Gus' eyesight is failing rapidly, so she has to become his "eyes," all the while trying to conceal the liability from management.

The chemistry between Eastwood and Adams is a plus, while Justin Timberlake turns in an admirable performance as a rival scout and would-be suitor of Mickey.
