Movie Description

Slap Shot 3: The Junior League, continues the Slap Shot series that began with the 1978 comedy starring the legendary Paul Newman. Slap Shot 3 manages to approximate the spirit of the original, if not quite the talent.

In the latest installment, viewers are given a brief recap of what's already occurred, and then are brought to Charlestown Orphanage, where financial woes and a general malaise has created a state of mild depression. Enter Riley Haskell (Greyston Holt), who decides that the ideal solution to re-energize is to get the ice hockey team back on their skates. Simultaneously, a land developer is attempting to purchase the orphanage, demolish it and turn it into commercial property.

A frustrated Riley realizes that desperate times call for desperate measures, so he locates the fabled Hanson Triplets from the original to save the day. The trio have discovered "inner peace," and their attempts to impart the benefits of their Zen-like approach to the team make for some hilarious moments.
