Movie Description

In Fast Company, an auto-racing film directed by David Cronenberg, "B" film veterans William Smith, John Saxon and Claudia Jennings star as a drag-racer, his unscrupulous manager and love interest, respectively. Also appearing is Nicholas Campbell who would subsequently star in three other Cronenberg films.

Fast Company presents a realistic behind-the-scenes look at the often seedy "sport," and also manages to slip in a few barbed digs at the shady corporate wheelings and dealings that often plays a bigger role in the activity than do the actual racers. Occasionally bordering on exploitation, Cronenberg's sense of irony and humor still keep the story interesting, unlike most similarly-themed productions of the genre.
