Movie Description
Based on a true story, A Mile In His Shoes provides a story with a twist rarely seen anywhere else in sports. A remarkable pitching prospect, Mickey Tussler (Luke Schroder) impresses the eye of minor-league manager Arthur ‘Murph’ Murphy (Dean Cain), leading to a conversation with the boy’s parents. When they’re surprisingly reluctant to let their son pursue a dream many would die for, Murph learns that Mickey won’t have to just battle through the minors, but every day he battles with Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of autism. Persistent in his desire to add the talented arm to his struggling team, Murph convinces Luke’s parents to let him tryout, which triggers the start of a relationship between Luke, Murph, the team and, eventually, the entire fanbase. Showing that working together towards a common goal can usually overcome all obstacles, A Mile in His Shoes displays the heart and camaraderie behind the incredible game of baseball.
