Movie Description
Kyle Lee Watson (Duane Martin) is a basketball prodigy catching the eyes of colleges everywhere. As a prep star his promise is rising, but his relationships off the court threaten to side track Watson’s potential. When Shep (Tupac), a former basketball star at the same school, and his brother, Birdie (Leon), get entangled in his affairs Kyle must learn to play not just the game of basketball, but the game of life. Some games you play, some games play you. ‘Above the Rim’ is a sports movie that captivates the cultural landscape of basketball in urban areas, while providing some excellent performances from new and exciting actors, primarily the late Tupac Shakur.
