Movie Description
All Things Fall Apart is a 2011 football/drama which delves into the all-too-familiar story of a promising young athlete who’s forced to reassess their priorities when unexpected tragedy occurs.
Rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson portrays Deon, a star college football player on the cusp of realizing his dreams; selection as a high draft choice, a big money contract, and a long, successful NFL career. Unfortunately, he’s diagnosed with cancer, and how he and his family deal with it form the basis of the film.
Inexplicably, when his family is informed of Deon’s condition, their initial reaction isn’t for his health and well-being, but whether or not he can still play football. This callous attitude compels Deon to re-examine not only himself but his family as well.
Along with Jackson, other notable cast members include Ray Liotta, Melvin Van Peebles (who also directed), and Lynn Whitfield.
