Movie Description
Birdie & Bogey is a sports drama involving a professional golfer who dares to go against the grain by employing his daughter as his caddy. Danny O’Connor’s career appears to going nowhere until he infuriates the golfing powers-that-be when he has his teenaged daughter accompany him on the tour. The move is partly a cost-cutting measure, but there is also a genuine bond between father and daughter that somehow transforms his so-so game into a winning combination that brings the pair fame and notoriety. When the daughter (appropriately nicknamed "Birdie") is diagnosed with a potentially fatal disease, both O’Connor’s are faced with life-changing scenarios. Despite being consumed with worry and concern, O’Connor shoulders on, using his daughter as inspiration.
Mike Norris pulls double duty in Birdie & Bogey, starring as O’Connor as well as directing the production. Also starring are Janine Turner and Amanda Alch.
